I did a fresh install of the OS, then downloaded your script without having run any other updates on my system. Anyway, like I said, works great in AVlinux. the only thing that stopped me from switching before was the lack of an integrated audio-midi daw. are there specific things that need to be installed before running your script? I think with reaper running on linux we might see a lot of audio types taking the plunge. I know that most people using linux are pretty hardcore about it, but do you think you could post some kind of dummy-proof instructions for us poor m$ point-and-clickers? I was thinking that the problem I had in ubuntu9.04 was that there was some other software I was missing. It didn't work right off the bat in ubuntu 9.04 for me, but I was getting a lot of crashes or just the mouse freezing in that OS anyway (which apparently is happening for a lot of people) so I gave up on that. I had tried it in ubuntu 8.04 圆4 to no avail, then read more and realized that you had already said it wouldn't work. Works great in AVlinux (which is Debian).
